Appearance + Pings
Saejima is Tall and Built, with brown eyes and dark hair that he keeps buzzed short.
He's got scars all over but the most visible one would be the one over his left eyebrow. Spanning his entire back is an irezumi of a tiger.
For his icon, he wears a tiger's eye pendant in the shape of a claw.
Pings as a normal human!

Meeting Sasai
Except the man isn't a businessman and even though Ore is big for his age and just as strong, the man kicks his ass.
But instead of beating him worse or calling the cops, the man compliments Ore's strength and asks him why he jumped him. Frustrated, Ore breaks down and tells him: his sister Yasuko is really sick and he needs the money to pay for her treatments. When asked about his parents, Ore tells him that they're not around and that it's just the two of them.
Then the man makes an offer: work for him and he'll pay for Yasuko's treatments. When Ore calls bullshit, the man explains who he actually is: Hideki Sasai, patriarch of his own yakuza family. He repeats the offer and it's an honest one, not an ultimatum. Ore can take it or leave it.
It's not something he has to think about. He'll do anything for his sister.
Yasuko's Death
Separate Ways
They're having a positive, but solemn conversation: she's been given an opportunity to work her dream job, a chance she can't pass up because it may never come around again. But . . . she has to leave the port, because said job is very far away.
Ore can't leave, though. He was just hired on at the school, and the workshop he's been planning to open is already in it's first stages. He can't just pick up and leave it all behind.
They don't argue about it. It's a calm discussion that eventually, ends with them both agreeing that because of how young they are, she should take the job and follow her dreams, and Ore should focus on his own career. Then maybe one day, they can talk about their future.
It's a mutual break-up. Ore lets her take the drawings he'd done of the ring he was going to make.
The Ueno Seiwa Hit
Gosh who is this mysterious bro he keeps thinking about weird
Brothers Ceremony
It's almost exactly like the other ceremony. They're brought to a room where an altar has been set up with three scrolls, meant for the deities that would go with their families. There's offerings too, sake and salt and fish, and candles that stand for the 12 signs of the zodiac. Even for two bottom of the barrel yakuza brats it's still a rigid and formal ceremony.
The person running it all begins, explaining the oath they're about to take. Again, a lot like the other ceremony, only this time they're dedicating their lives to each other. It's promising loyalty until the day they die, and even if the ceremony is the same this one feels much, much more important.
They move to the altar, where they each take a sip of sake from special cups that they wrap and keep afterwards.
And then . . . they're officially kyodai. Sworn brothers for life.
One day, it might mean more to everyone else. But to them it means everything. They came into this world together and have had each other's backs since the day they met. It's about duty and loyalty, sure, but there's more to it.
Later, when they get back to Ore's little place, they try to explain what they did to Yasuko. But she's only ten, and the less she knows about the yakuza, the better. So instead of explaining the ins and outs of a sakazuki, they tell her that it's a lot like a marriage.
It isn't that far off the truth.
"Tell me the truth, bro."
