Aloe's engaged, I guess, which is cool. Seriously. I want him to be happy. But Nettle got all freaked out about it, which kinda feels like...should I be freaked out about it?

Something, something, Aloe's gonna stop sticking around because of some guy, I guess? But like...he went through a lot of trouble to adopt us. Wasn't even put off by the parents thing. And that's a pretty serious commitment...I think he takes it really seriously, too.
Like...ditch, not want kids anymore, or not ditch and miss out on some guy?

...I don't know. He's been getting a lot more upset about stuff, and more often, for the past little while now. The straight up panic meltdowns about this and when River's parents showed up. Other stuff, too. I guess change is hard to deal with.

Hrm. Don't wanna go presumin', but if he ain't ever had somethin' good like that before, I ain't too surprised he's worried it'll be taken away somehow.

Kinda, but it's like...he doesn't always wanna talk about it later, and I'm not always good at it. And it's hard when it's stuff that affects both of us.
Like, we can't really talk about River's parents because he had a lot of feelings about it, and I probably made it worse because I wasn't in a place where I could hear that without getting hurt. And he couldn't hear my end without thinking I was being shitty about problems he wished he had instead. Which made me feel worse. And, you know. Even with Aloe, I can say he won't run out on us, and I don't think he will. But, you know, it's scary for me when I think of it that way too. And I suck at words anyway.
Uh, long way of saying, it's probably better from someone else.
I said I didn't think Aloe wanting to marry someone would cause any big scary problems. And that I didn't think he'd ever be interested in someone who'd be gross to Nettle or whatever. And that stressing everything that could go wrong probably isn't the best way to deal. And I know Aloe talked to him too, which is prob better 'cause then he can speak for himself. So hopefully that helped.
[considers something for a moment, pausing his movements]
Ain't too much ya can do in that situation, honestly, 'cept remind him of what he's got an' that he ain't gonna lose it. Might have to do it a lot, so ya gotta have patience with it. An' if ya share some of those fears, well - it'll help ya too, I think.
Mmm, with Gray. Sometimes I gotta remind him that I ain't gonna leave him alone again.
But it ain't like I don't worry 'bout it happenin' regardless of how many times I promise, y'know? Remindin' him is like remindin' myself how serious I am 'bout it, if that makes sense.
