Jelly. We had a picnic, it was pretty okay. Our guy was a super sensitive and a little hallucination-stabby but chill otherwise.

He stops short and turns to throw a haymaker towards where he dodged]

[he catches the kick, though he pauses at what Aster says]

[attempting to take said leg he caught and just bodily throwing him]

...she was the only one besides you who knew me before. And Thistle's...been here from really early on. He was the only one who understood me, sometimes.

[ zooms at to throw a punch!! ]

[he just tanks the punch, grunting]

Mmm . . . never met him, but I heard 'bout him from ya a few times. Seemed decent.

Are they lost or asleep?

[tries to kick out at him]

Ivy's lost. He's asleep.

[ oop, vaults over that leg and goes for a side jab ]

Aloe's engaged, I guess, which is cool. Seriously. I want him to be happy. But Nettle got all freaked out about it, which kinda feels like...should I be freaked out about it?

She'll turn up sooner or later.

[he hopes. He side-steps the jab, then swings around with an elbow]

What's there to be freaked out 'bout?

[ drops, but the elbow def partially catches him and he reels a few steps ]

Something, something, Aloe's gonna stop sticking around because of some guy, I guess? But like...he went through a lot of trouble to adopt us. Wasn't even put off by the parents thing. And that's a pretty serious commitment...I think he takes it really seriously, too.

[ comes in with a roundhouse kick ]

[he takes the kick with a grunt]

—oi, what does that mean, stop stickin' 'round? If he's takin' that serious, then why's he doin' that?

[ shrugs as he backs up to make some space for a next move ]

...I don't know. He's been getting a lot more upset about stuff, and more often, for the past little while now. The straight up panic meltdowns about this and when River's parents showed up. Other stuff, too. I guess change is hard to deal with.

[he frowns a little, but he's bracing for the next move since he's now focused on the conversation]

Hrm. Don't wanna go presumin', but if he ain't ever had somethin' good like that before, I ain't too surprised he's worried it'll be taken away somehow.
